Margaret Hemenway, Paralegal

The latest in a long family line of attorneys in Washington, D.C., Margaret is eager to continue the family tradition with Smith Strong, PLC, in Richmond.

In 2017, Margaret graduated summa cum laude from Virginia Commonwealth University with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and English. During her time at VCU, Margaret participated in Pi Sigma Alpha, a Political Science Honor Society, and Sigma Tau Delta, the English Honor Society. As an undergraduate student, Ms. Hemenway’s research thesis was selected to be published in the 2017 VCU Political Science Journal. She hopes to further her education and attend law school in the upcoming years.

Ms. Hemenway currently lives in the Museum District neighborhood of Richmond, Virginia. Away from the office, Margaret enjoys sightseeing, fashion, photography, video games, and yoga.

Margaret believes southern hospitality and kindness are necessary to maintain a good relationship with clients. She believes that a friendly demeanor is vital to maintaining a professional work environment. She fell in love with Richmond during her time at VCU and has stayed in the area ever since.

Margaret Hemenway serves as a paralegal at our firm and began working at Smith Strong, PLC, in January 2019.
