Testimonials
“. . . And please convey my personal thanks to Van Smith. He and his firm Smith Strong, PLC provided me with a tremendous amount of insight and truly helped me navigate through these stormy waters. Van demonstrated compassion when I needed it, reassurance when he felt I needed it, and most importantly, treated me as a person, not just a client. Each time I walked into Smith Strong, I felt relieved. Each time I left, I felt more empowered. He took the time to make me feel like I was his most important client. He took the time to understand me and where I was emotionally . . . .”
--Leonard L., 47 years old, Business Executive
“I met Attorney Van Smith approximately two weeks ago and requested his legal services in a divorce/child custody battle. I was in the condition of a woman who had just been thrown out of her house of 7 years with two daughters of the ages 3 and 4. After leaving that first initial meeting with Mr. Van Smith, I knew right away that I had just met a group of people who were going to help me through the next few days/weeks of unknown territory. Within the short span of 2 weeks Mr. Van Smith and his staff members at Smith Strong became like my family. They knew my children by name and asked about their well being every day. They kept communication with me and informed me of all the steps that would take place in the next few days. Specifically, Mr. Van Smith’s assistant Stephanie returned my phone calls as late as 11:30pm and as early as 8 am in the morning. She has become like a friend and we share stories of our children, all while dealing with my case. I truly feel that I am their priority and that they are truly concerned with providing my children and me with the outcome that best suits me and not their own interest. Recently, I was in court with Mr. Van Smith and observed him successfully win a 1-year protective order suit that I thought was impossible to receive. In fact, the opposing lawyer came to me and praised my lawyer Van Smith on his ability to collaborate with all members of the court and work out a deal that was in the best interest of my family. I was surprised to receive such praise from my husband’s lawyer, as he is charging my husband double the price that Mr. Van Smith is charging me. After my court experience with Mr. Van Smith I am confident that I have the best advocate for my daughters and me on my side. I would honestly recommend the Law Offices of Smith Strong, PLC to anyone who is in need of legal counseling.”
--Nazia S., Henrico County, Virginia, 30 year old mother of 2 daughters
“Excellent Service! I came to Smith Strong to start the process of adopting my stepdaughter (7 years old) through a stepparent adoption. My wife and I married when she was 6. Her biological father has had no involvement in her life; therefore, I wanted to make sure she had an official father figure in her life.
Smith Strong took care of us in the most affordable way possible. We were able to settle the case out of court, which saved us several hundred dollars in fees. I highly recommend Smith Strong for any of your family's legal needs.”
--Jason M., Chesterfield County, Virginia, 31 year old now official stepfather
“Legal expertise and TLC! I work with attorneys every day in the court system as well as hiring attorneys throughout the years for various areas of representation. Being kept informed as the case progresses along is always a concern and Van and his staff at Smith Strong kept me informed every step of the way. Each time there was activity on our case, I was advised of what was going on and how the attorney had responded. That is invaluable as a client.”
--Pat A., Newport News, Virginia, 55 year old legal professional
“Smith Strong P.L.C has been more than helpful through this whole process. I could have not have asked for a better attorney. Van truly took in mind what was in my child’s best interest. He showed determination, passion, and consideration throughout my whole case. Van "won" my case... but I prefer to say that he fought for what was best for my daughter! Along with being an excellent attorney, Van has wonderful staff. I can't even begin to sing high enough praises of Stephanie and Abigail! Both women were always available to talk and extremely supportive and comforting.”
--Elizabeth Murray, Charlottesville, Virginia, 28 year old nurse and mother of 1 daughter
“Grateful for Van Smith and his team at Smith Strong! I live out of state and I scrambled to find legal assistance last minute and on a budget. I only had two weeks to prepare and resolve a fair visitation schedule in court, and I wasn't able to make an appearance at the trial. Stephanie, Van’s paralegal, is an amazing person who really took the time to help me understand the process and steps we would be taking. She reassured me through phone conversations and emails frequently. I felt very confident the matter at hand would be resolved quickly, and I was very confident that both Van and Stephanie were doing everything they could for me. I am ecstatic with our outcome and would highly recommend them!!! Thanks so much guys!”
--Corrie C., Florida, 33 year old office administrator and mother of 1 daughter
