Susan serves as a Senior Paralegal in the family law and litigation division of Smith Strong, PLC.
Born in South Carolina and raised in Henrico County, Virginia, Susan became intrigued with the legal field at a very young age. With a thirst for knowledge, Susan initially obtained an Associate’s Degree in Legal Assisting with an emphasis on Litigation in 1993 from J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College. A few years later, she returned to J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College to take courses in Administration of Justice, before deciding to transfer to The University of Richmond, School of Continuing Studies, where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Paralegal Studies in 2009. Again feeling the pull to continue her studies, Susan attended The George Washington University, School of Professional Studies where she obtained a Master’s Degree in Paralegal Studies in 2014. Susan has worked consistently in the Richmond legal community for the past thirty years in various roles from receptionist to office manager.
During her free time, Susan enjoys the local music scene, photography, and spending time with friends and family.
