It all begins with your call to us at 804.325.1245 or 757.941.4298.

Consultations with our firm are different.

First, they’re really not mere consultations, but better described as SMARTSTART© comprehensive case preparation meetings.  Some legal practitioners will offer a “free” half-hour consultation, and then quickly switch over to their billable hour rates if you wish to proceed.  We have found that a half-hour doesn’t allow enough time for anyone to understand your case fully, to offer a complete evaluation, or to develop a plan of action, together. We want you to leave the first meeting with peace of mind, knowing your case is being handled with focused attention.

We find our comprehensive case preparation meetings last a little over an hour.  This time enables us to understand your unique situation and craft the right solution—not simply to get your name and tell you how much it will cost.

We offer this consultation at a flat rate.  There is no obligation to proceed beyond the consultation, but most of our potential clients do.

More important than the cost of this comprehensive case preparation meeting is the manner in which your case will be handled.

  • How do the attorneys practice law?  Do they begin the legal relationship with education, such as providing a book and information packet?
  • Will they strategically outline the most efficient way to reach your goals in that first meeting?
  • Will they keep that plan in mind in the weeks or months that follow?
  • Does their practice focus primarily on family law matters?  Have they developed a system to handle all manner of scenarios within that practice area effectively?
  • And have they assembled a skilled team ready to take on the challenge of your case?

Our firm, Smith Strong, PLC, prides ourselves on offering solutions for our clients’ family law matters.  We realize you may not get a second chance at this, and in the back of your mind you're probably thinking--I need to make sure this is done right the first time

After all--your finances, possibly children, and the very things you have worked so hard for so long are at stake and on the line.
